TAJ E-NEWS 2015-5-24

We have all reached this season together.

We remember it was on this day that the Jewish people
received the Ten Commandments (and the Torah)
on Mt. Sinai.
It was also the day the believers in Messiah
received the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem.

Jonathan Settel was present for our morning Shavuot service.
He is always a blessing to all of us.

I also want to thank our children for putting on a beautiful Shavuot song and dance for us.
Thanks to Renee Brown and Marianne Wegener.

Azi Holman led Rabbi's Corner and taught
about Shavuot.

Also, Azi led the Shavuot Service at 7 pm.
We had a great turnout and all that came were blessed.
Since eating dairy is a custom of Shavuot, the Holmans
made sure that they served root beer floats!

Yasher Koach to Azi Holman.

A group of our congregation were off to another Shavuot celebration
at Pepperdine University.
We enjoyed worshiping with the Iantornos (Debbie and Vince),
the Lumbrosos, Corry Bell, and Jonathan Settel.

Happy Birthday to Luann Jollineau!
What a great leader along with Renee you are in the Children's school.

Happy Birthday to Lucy Ugay!  (Chris' Mom)
That evening, Lucy fell and hurt her left leg.
She is home and healing.

Happy Birthday to Eugene T.  !!!

Congratulations to Alanna Denton
on her graduation
receiving her degree in Nursing at Biola University.

What a beautiful lady who loves the Lord
and will use her new profession for Him.

Also, congratulations on her acceptance for her first job as a Nurse.
it will be in Alaska and she begins in July.
No matter how far she goes from here,
she will always be considered one of TAJ's daughters!

Corrine Einarsson and Hilary Sylvester
are busy working on a mural
on our Eastern Wall.
It is going to be gorgeous!!

It is going to be a panorama of the city of Jerusalem
at sunset.....with the New City coming down from the sky!

The Bibles (70) are sold out!!

May you enjoy reading this translation as much as I do.
I will order a new shipment.
The new price will be 40 dollars (includes shipment)

Mazel Tov to
David Reese on presenting a dance
which describes the struggles that rage within us.

Also, congratulations to Eliya Davis
on teaching one of her
dances to the Messianic Dance Retreat
at Pepperdine.

 Prayer Requests

Roy Guzman had a heart procedure this past Friday.
They did not open up his chest to get to the heart, but
had it done robotically through his blood vessels.
He is home now and doing well.

On the way to Shabbat Service this past week,
John Lamb and his son, Jacob were driving up from
San Diego, as they do regularly... when he was side-swiped on the freeway,
causing his car to turn around facing on-coming traffic.
It was only the hand of mighty angels protecting
them, that they were not struck by on-coming cars.
Both of them came through this
praising HaShem and for His mercy.
They were even at the evening Shavuot service
giving all the glory to Him!
His wife is in Oregon visiting family.

Please pray for Lambert Hunter's wife, Deitra.
She is in the hospital with health issues.
Lord, place your hand on her and the family.
